Stop Complaining, Do something by Menina Lesboa

Stop complaining, Do Something by Menina Lisboa

In a lot of ways last week bought a lot of things to the surface which I had been avoiding for a very long time. We had a family member die and while it was not entirely unexpected (grandma had been ill for a while), it seems to have thrown everyone for a loop.

At the same time as this was going on, I received 3 really great pieces of news. I really just want to talk about those today. Right now, I need more gratitude in my life.

1. Recently I was I was interviewed for the Scrap Gals podcast by my very dear friend Tracie Claibourne. Hand to god, she is one of the sweetest people you ever will meet. It was a day or two before I got around to listening to it, but when I did – blushed the whole way though. I am not used to having such beautiful things said about me. Oh and trust me, having Tracie read my answers rather than me, is doing you all a huge favor. So if you would like to hear my thoughts on Project Life and food photography head on over here or you can find it here on itunes. My episode is titled ‘No kids, No Pets, No Husband’, but it’s certainly worth checking out Tiffany and Tracie’s other episodes. They truly are an informative pair. Oh and don’t forget to leave them some love. Thank you, to the both of you from the bottom of my heart.

2. I won Layout of the Week over at Studio Calico. I had been having such a great run of luck over on the Studio Calico boards lately – I had the featured layout the week before last and I hosted the change the same week, but this one came at me from left field. Of all things, I won with Harvest. There is no denying it’s a great layout, it’s just a little under embellished for the usual LOTW winners. I should probably mention that Layout of the Week is determined by the public. So if you were one of the many who added Harvest to your inspiration book, my deepest thanks for making a hard week – a little brighter.

3. Last but not least, yesterday my Instagram account crossed the 2000 followers line. I’m seriously blown away by this. It took less than a month to go from 1500 to 2000 and as I write this it sits at a little over 2400. I know I must be doing something right, some of my new followers are pretty big names like Maggie Holmes, Amanda Caves and Dana Fleckenstein. I just wish I knew what it was so I could keep doing it. In lou of that, I do have a tangible way to thank my Instagram followers – I’m having a giveaway on Instagram!

Aimee's 2000 Follower Instagram Giveaway

For all the details head on over to my instagram account, all the information about the prize and what you have to do to enter is all in my last post.

From a very grateful place I want to thank you all for being such great readers. I love hearing from you and chatting with you. Now enough with all the words and on to the doing!

Aimee xx

P.s. How awesome is the print up the top by Menina Lesboa. It really sums up how I have been feeling lately. I’m so over complaining. I just want to get on and make stuff, be me and be happy. If this print speaks to you too, you buy it from Menina’s store here.
